About Good Talk

Putting the good back in mental health care, one person at a time.

“Hi, I’m Jade — a psychiatric nurse practitioner and founder of Good Talk. I founded this practice after seeing how often people leave mental health care feeling rushed, disconnected, or unseen. Providers are often stretched thin, and in systems built around volume and efficiency, meaningful connection can be difficult to prioritize. Good Talk was built to create something different. We combine therapy and medication management in a model that prioritizes trust, collaboration, and time. We slow things down, on purpose. To make space. To actually listen. To care for the whole person. Because this isn’t just about treatment. It’s about creating the kind of care experience people deserve. Just good people, doing good work, with enough time and heart to do it well.”

Founder, Good Talk

Good Talk is proudly nurse-founded & we’re redefining what mental health care should feel like.

Mental health care has often been shaped by models that are diagnosis-driven, problem-oriented, and focused on symptom reduction. This approach has an important place in treatment and has helped countless people. Yet many patients still leave feeling rushed, unheard, or disconnected from their care experience.

Those experiences reflect a broader challenge across healthcare today.

In brief appointments. In symptom-focused assessments. In systems that can make it difficult to prioritize time, trust, and human connection.

The nursing model starts from a different place.

It’s holistic by design, centered on the whole person: emotional, physical, spiritual, and social. It recognizes that illness touches every part of life. It values education, autonomy, and shared decision-making. It asks why, not just what. And it creates space for healing alongside treatment.

At Good Talk, we’ve taken this foundation and reimagined mental health care around it.

We’ve integrated therapy, thoughtful medication management, and patient education into a model that prioritizes time, trust, and human connection. We slow down, on purpose. Because presence is an essential part of care.

We listen. We collaborate. We empower.

At Good Talk, therapy, medication, and education work together. It’s care that’s integrated, intentional, and built to meet real life. Human connection and clinical care— equally essential.

Talk

We use therapy to get curious, explore patterns, unpack stressors, and build insight. Supportive conversations that move at your pace— not ours.

Treat

We use medications thoughtfully, collaboratively, and only when it makes sense. You’ll always know the why behind what we prescribe and you’ll always have a say in the plan.

Educate

We teach as we treat— offering insight into how your mind, body, and environment work together. From how your meds work to how lifestyle factors shape mental health, we’ll help you understand your options so you can make choices that fit your life.

Our Mission

To bring depth, dignity, and humanity back to mental health care through a more human approach— one that values presence, connection, and the person beyond the diagnosis.

  • A world where mental health care feels safe, relational, and honors the full human experience

    • Show up with integrity

    • Lead with presence

    • Say the hard thing kindly

    • Stay curious, not certain

  • Good Talk Cares:

Care should extend beyond the appointment. Through Good Talk Cares, every patient visit helps support our commitment to giving back and serving in the community. We believe care doesn’t stop with people we treat— it should reach the communities we’re part of.

Our Values

Grounded

We lead with clinical integrity, humility, and presence. Care rooted in what works and what matters.

Thoughtful

We take our time— on purpose. We listen closely, think critically, and act with intention in every decision we make.

Fully Human

We show up human— with empathy, nuance, and zero pretense. As clinicians and as people. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood.

Whole Person Care

At Good Talk, we care for the whole person. Healing isn’t just clinical. It’s personal.

Here’s how we promote wellness across every part of your life:

Emotional

Emotional wellness means more than "feeling better." It's about learning to regulate, process, and navigate life's highs and lows with resilience. We create space for real emotion and support you in building tools that last.

Physical

We recognize the real impact mental health has on the body— from energy to appetite to sleep. Our care supports the physical aspects of wellness with thoughtful prescribing, lifestyle insight, and coordination with your broader health team when needed.

Spiritual

Spiritual wellness looks different for everyone— whether rooted in faith, values, meaning, or purpose— we honor it. Our care makes space for your beliefs, your questions, and your inner compass.

Social

Mental health shows up in relationships, too. We explore how connection, boundaries, community, and culture shape your experience and help you move through the world in ways that feel safe, supported, and empowered.
